Keeping in mind our Mother Tongue

        Mother language has a very powerful impact in the formation of the individual. Our first language, the beautiful sounds of which one hears and gets familiar with before being born while in the womb, has such an important role in shaping our thoughts and emotions. A child’s psychological and personality development will depend upon what has been conveyed through the mother tongue. With this in mind, as psychologists say, it matters tremendously that language expressions and vocabulary are chosen with care when we talk to children. A child’s first comprehension of the world around him, the learning of concepts and skills, and his perception of existence, starts with the language that is first taught to him, his mother tongue. In the same manner, a child expresses his first feelings, his happiness, fears, and his first words through his mother tongue. Mother language has such an important role in framing our thinking, emotions and spiritual world, because the most important stage of our life, childhood, is spent in its imprints. A strong bond between a child and his parents (especially mother) is established by virtue of love, compassion, body language, and also through the most important one, which is the verbal language. When a person speaks their mother tongue, a direct connection establishes between heart, brain and tongue. Our personality, character, modesty, shyness, defects, our skills, and all other hidden characteristics become truly revealed through the mother tongue because the sound of the mother tongue in the ear and its meaning in the heart give us trust and confidence.
        A child connects to his parents, family, relatives, culture, history, identity and religion through his mother tongue. Native language links the child with the culture of the society the child comes from and shapes his identity. A lot of children from immigrant families, who don’t know their native language well, are at a crossroads of identity crisis. When a child doesn’t know his language well we cannot say that he will be nurtured with his culture properly for the fact that the relationship between language and culture is deeply rooted. Mother tongue is one of the most powerful tools used to preserve and convey culture and cultural ties.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Equal opportunity, or equality of opportunity, is a controversial decision-making standard without a precise definition involving fair choices within the public sphere. While it generally describes “open and fair competition” with equal chances for achieving sought–after jobs or positions as well as an absence of discrimination, the concept is elusive with a “wide range of meanings.” It is hard to measure, and implementation poses problems as well as disagreements about what to do. It is being applied to increasingly wider areas beyond employment including lending, housing, voting rights, and elsewhere.

The essence of the equality of opportunity is a stipulation that all people should be treated similarly, unhampered by artificial barriers or prejudices or preferences, except when particular “distinctions can be explicitly justified.” The aim is that important jobs should go to those “the most qualified”––persons most likely to perform ably in a given task––and not to go to persons for arbitrary or irrelevant reasons, such as circumstances of birth, upbringing, friendship ties to whoever is in power, religion, sex, ethnicity, race, caste, or “involuntary personal attributes” such as disability, age, or sexual preferences.

Discrimination towards women and girls, or what is known as gender-based discrimination, is one of the most pervasive human rights violations. It severely limits the ability of women, girls and the communities they live in to protect and promote their health.

Gender-based discrimination is irrevocably connected to negative health outcomes for women and girls. Its associated poor health outcomes are often compounded by other forms of inequality related to socioeconomic status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation or geographical location. While these challenges are imposing, and often encoded in "normalized" ways of living, International Women's Day renews our commitment to denounce violations in human rights and to challenge unequal systems, structures and practices that perpetuate health inequalities across the world.

Responding to Climate Change

           Climate is the general state of the atmosphere over a long period of time. Whereas weather is the expression of day conditions, climate is a composite of averages and extremes during a specified number of years.
           The element of climate change through time as well as from place to place. Indirect evidence of climatig trends in the distant past is reveated in fossils, lake and ocean beds, peat bogs, glacial deposits, and soils. Widths of annual growth rings in trees correlate with temperature and rainfull fluctuations, especially along the drier margins of fivests, and fossil trees provide records of dramatic climatic events in the past.
           Human activity has the potential of affecting large scale climate patterns through the introduction of materials into the atmosphere and the depletion of forest cover. Scientists now clearly recognize that the greenhouse effect, is being enhanced by human activities.

Promoting Digital Literacy Through English Proficiency

          Digital literacy is our ability to manipulate these products of technology that are connected with literature such as computers, laptops, televisions and many more. It is true that these high-tech products are greatly needed today especially for the students like us. Because of this so-called digital literacy, we can now accomplish so many tasks easier and faster.
              Nowadays, the new generation are very fun of playing and surfing the internet and modern technologies.  Research around digital literacy is concerned with the wider aspects associated with learning how to effectively find, use, summarize, evaluate, create, and communicate information while using digital technologies, not just being literate at using a computer.  Technologies help us to communicate faster in other countries.  Literacy is social network services and websites help people stay in contact with others, pass timely information and even sell goods and services.  It also prevents from believing hoaxes that are spread online or are the result of photo manipulate.

CHEMERGY: CHEMISTRY AND SCIENCE CLUB IN SYNERGY

      Our world now is experiencing a lot of big changes especially in our environment. Science Club and Chemistry are joined hand in hand to cure all the bad things which we brought to our mother Earth. We people are very lucky because they are helping us to have house to build and a community to live.    Synergy may be defined as two or more things functioning together to produce a result not independently obtainable. Science Club is an organization which can help us improving our society. They serve as our savior because with out them our environment will be nothing.
     Probably,  all of us can improve our environment for our sake.  So let us preserve our environment because this can help us in our daily lives.

A TRUE HERO,MY TEACHER

   Everyone has their own inspiration in doing any task. Someone who admires them whatever they do. Not only those people who served and died for our country is what we can call HERO but also the live one who admires any onein what he does. Everyone can be a hero in this world. just be yourselfand fight the battle alone and when you succeed, there will always be someone who will treat you as their Hero in their lives.
  Teachers serves as our second mother or father in when we are in school. They molded us and advice us when we have our problems and help us when we are in a situation that there is no other person who can help us except our teachers. No one is successful now without teacher.

"My Modern Hero"

     "True lives of truest heroism are those in which there are no great deeds to look back upon. It is the little things well done that counts to make up a successful and truly good life".
      The person I've admire most is Ms. Sarah Geronimo, a great performer, an artist and a singer. Because of the little things she've done, she is now one of the Biggest Stars here in the Philippiones. First time I heard her singing her latest song, I tought already that she is a good singer. Her songs made me feel very comfortable everytime I heard it. And I owe her much because of her experiences. She have but one lamp by which her feet are guided her , and that lamp is the lamp of her experience. She know no way of judging the future but by the past. Her faith in God brought her for where she is now. And her fear doesn't bother her nor make her continue the battle of her life. I know it would just be a dream but I want to follow her excistence because in music I am living with my greatest dreams in life. She will always be my Modern Hero in my life because she serves as one of my inspiration in succeeding life.
     But we must remember, we will not always win. Some days, the most resourceful individual will taste defeat. But there is, in this case, always tomorrow- after you have done your best to achieve success today.

SONA 2011 OF PNOY

     President Noynoy Aquino delivered his 2nd SONA on July 25, 2011. President Noynoy is the 15th president of the 3rd Republic who promised the moon and the stars during his campaign in 2010 National Election who won by landslide.
    The 2011 Sona of PNOY contains many messages. He kept on mentioning about "wang-wang" - a symbol for graft and corruption not only in government agencies but in all sectors of Philip[pine Society. He emphasized that "wang-wang" has no place in under his watch. I've expected another topic he will discussed in his 2nd SONA  but it's almost the same as it is in his 1st SONA PNOY also reiterated that fighting graft and corruption is a personal matter to him. He then challenged every Filipino to also have the same feeling as far as fighting graft and corruption is concerned because he needs total support from his true bosses. But we all know that our country is experiencing this what we call graft and corruption in every president we have here in the Philippines. We cannot avoid this king of problem unless all of us will help each other to attain our dreams in pursuing that are country will developed not only a developing country. 
   He also mentioned about the Cancellation of ARMM Election, Productive DPWH, Creative DOE, Good Selection for the Ombudsman and no mention about freedom of Information Act.
   He have not yet done everything to prevent all the crisis and some other problems of our country but he has 5 more years to serve in our country so let us all find it out if he has the power to manipulate all of the problems that  our country is experiencing nowadays.

Isulong ang "Breastfeeding TAMA, SAPAT, AT EKSKLUSIBO"

   Breastfeeding is the nursing of a baby from a mother's breast. After the birth of a child, a mother's breast produces colostrum, a yellow fluid with a high level of protein and anti-bodies. A baby who feeds on colostrum is better able to resist bacteria and viruses and does not easily contract diarrhea and colds. The milk, which begins ti flow a few days after child birth, is a shade of blue and has a thin consistency. It gives the baby the right nutrition balance at the right temperature.
  The fact content of human milk, compared with cow's milk, is more digestible for infants and allows greater absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins from the intestine. Breastfeeding is not an instinctive action; it must be learned by a new mother. Some nursing mother encounter difficulties with engorged breasts or chronically sore or leaking nipples.
  Of all the above important details, description and benefits above, we must breastfeed our babies with right and exclusive milk coming from the breast of our own mother. Because the health of the baby depends on how the mother breast-feed the baby and if that what she breastfeed to her baby is coming from her own breast.

Dear Mr.President ,
         A great day to you sir while reading this.My purpose on writing this letter is that please give your time not only on some things regarding to business but to what Filipinos experiencing on their lives.All this time,there are many Filipinos who are not educated because of many reason.Lack of money ,and sometimes the school that they will be enrolled is lack of supplies.Mr.president,please give importance of those people who wants to study but they can't because of a lot reasons.Give also your attention to those beautiful spots in the Philippines where you can make it tourists spots so that Philippines will be more organized in the whole world .Give attention to the youth,because some of us have early pregnancy and those who are using drugs because we cant have Education if we do this.Education is important to us because like others says"We are the hope of the country".There are a lot of problems that were suffering day by day.Why cant you manage your time and give to the poor family who are needing your help.Why can't you bring this country to the top of the most successful country in the world.Mr.president,we all know that your too much busy in many things but  please do all you can to make this country better.
